PC and Mac encryption

DFCI requires that all devices used for any DFCI business to be encrypted. If you have purchased a computer through DFCI purchasing, encryption is part of the acquisition process, and you don't need to do anything further. However, if you are using a device for business that has not gone through DFCI's purchasing process, please contact the IS Service Desk and note in the request: "DFCI Research—Encryption Request."
When we receive a new laptop (purchased with DFCI funding), we install a STOP tag and a Warning sticker. These allow us to identify a device if it is lost or stolen.
Mac users have the ability to encrypt automatically by installing the PEAS Self Service software. Read about it here.

Dropbox for Business is a secure, encrypted version of Dropbox, intended for file sharing.
OneDrive for Business is a place where you can store files in the cloud, access them from any device, or share them with others.
Partners Secure File Transfer allows all employees to share large files without the use of email. (Biscom Delivery Server is currently unavailable)

To initiate a new data request, please fill out a DFCI Research Data Services Request Form via ServiceNow to be connected with an OncDRS Navigator
