Mission statement

Computational and AI Services (CAIS) provides software tools and technical services that support DFCI needs across research, clinical informatics, enterprise analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) domains.

DFCI computational business needs are addressed through solutions delivered by the following teams in CAIS:

Services

  • The Research Computing Services (RCS) team supports the computational needs of Dana-Farber's research community. Services include research data storage, high-performance computing (HPC), technical support for lab computers, and cloud account provisioning and management.

  • The Software and AI Engineering (SAE) team is a core set of Software Engineers that delivers in-house developed software and AI solutions related to informatics deliverables and assists with the acquisition and support of third-party solutions.

  • The Artificial Intelligence Operations and Services (AIOS) team supports artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives across the Institute by designing, implementing, and deploying solutions, and assists faculty by providing customized AI support in laboratories, centers, and departments through the Informatics Services Core.

  • Strategy & Architecture Planning improves DFCI tool-building efficiency, long-term scalability, and value through a coordinated architectural approach to informatics solutions supporting research and analytics. Think ahead; chart the path to the future.
